Welcome to my blog!

Updated: Oct 10, 2019

Hi loves! Welcome to my blog.

I'm super excited (and a little nervous) to start on this journey. But like most things in life, if it scares you, then you know it's something worth doing. So I'm doing it. And I'm taking you guys along for the ride! You're welcome *Sadie's voice*

I decided to start a blog because I like to talk. Plain and simple lol. But more importantly, I have something to say and I'm (finally) ready to be heard. Through this blog, I will be sharing my thoughts, experiences, and opinions about pretty much everything. I'm also going to share my tips and tricks to surviving as a twenty-something-year-old woman in today's society. I'm going to do something I've never done before, and that's being open, raw, and vulnerable with you all. Why? You might be wondering. Because it takes just one person to stand up and share their story to inspire others to do the same, and that's my goal. I hope my stories empower someone to believe in themselves, to try something new, to grow, and learn from my many mistakes and to speak up when they want to be heard.

Everything written here is the truth (my truth) unless stated otherwise. Please feel free to comment with your thoughts or email me if you have something you want to share. I'd love to hear from you.

Don't forget to subscribe to stay up to date with me!

THE ROOTS

My name is Latoya, and like this blog, I am a work in progress. *So please be patient with me.*

Surviving: My Twenties was created as a way for me to share my story. The struggles, the insecurities, the love (and heartbreak), and everything else in between. My hope for this blog is to empower women (and men) to tell their stories and encourage people to live in their truth, as I'm trying to live in mine.

I read somewhere that you find inner peace when you face your challenges instead of running away from them. So here I am,  trying like hell to find and keep some inner peace.

    XOXO
